With CheckMark Payroll running and your company files open, select State Taxes under Setup in the Command Center. Highlight the state table in the list on the left. Below the State Taxes list enter/modify your State ID and SUTA %. (If you do not see the state table in your State Taxes list, click the Load Latest Tables… button, scroll to find the state table(s) you need, highlight your selection(s) and click OK.)
To change/enter your State ID, click on the box labeled State ID and enter the ID number provided by your state. This is the number that will print on each employee W-2 in box 15. Click Save.
To change/enter your unemployment %, click on the box labeled SUTA % and type in your %. NOTE: If your state has provided you with a rate only, you will need to convert it to a % by moving the decimal two places to the right. Click Save.
If your state has more than one state table, you only need to enter this information once and the program will carry the information to all of the tables in that state.
