You can save the SUTA report in the Payroll program as a tab-delimited text file. This will need to be opened and re-saved in another program, such as Microsoft Excel, as a comma-delimited text file (.csv) in order to be imported into the Quickfile program that the Texas Workforce Commission is using for this program. There is more information regarding the program, file format compatibility and other information available on their web site, Quickfile Wage Reporting System. To Save the SUTA report as a tab-delimited text file in the CheckMark Payroll program, choose State Taxes under Reports in the Command Center. From the list, select the state(s) you wish included in the report. If no states are selected, all states in the list will be included in the text file. Select SUTA in the list, the period you wish to report and how you wish the employee list sorted (by Last Name or by Social Security number). Once you have selected your preferences, click on the Text File button, a Save dialog from your computer’s operating system will appear. Select a location to save the file. By default, the report is named ‘SUTA taxes’, modify if you wish, then Save.
